Original Movie Trailer

Audience Feedback
We decided to use social networking sites such as Facebook and YouTube in order to gain as much audience feedback as possible, along with showing our trailer to people at school. Most people said that they liked our video due to the amount of shots used, the way it was edited and its concept. Most importantly our target audience said that they would like to watch the film of the trailer we produced. This is essential as the aim of producing our trailer was to make our audience want to see the film, so that it will be successful at the box office. However, although no one disliked our film trailer, there were many ways our trailer could be improved. For instance, many people mentioned that our trailer was very repetitive. This was many due to the fact that we were unable to film a lot of sequences that we planned to film including the kidnap scene and the phone conversation from the female protagonist’s perspective. This is also meant that we were unable to use more diegetic sound such as dialogue which we originally planned to use, along with the split screen effect during the phone call. In addition some people pointed out that they didn’t like the font used in the beginning of the trailer, as it is too simple which didn’t appeal to them. Some suggested that we should have used the font used at the end of the trailer as it was more effective.
